Cyprus Weather Overview
Cyprus weather is one of the warmest climates you can find in the world and has the warmest winters in the Mediterranean when considering the European Union Countries.
A country which has an average of 2,700 to 3,500 hours of sunshine per year! This amount of sunshine is most of the times double in comparison with countries that are placed in the northern half of Europe.
Temperatures in Cyprus are between 8 – 10 degrees Celsius during the winter time to 35 degrees Celsius during the summer time. In addition the island’s water temperature is from 17 degrees Celsius in winter time to 27 – 28 degrees Celsius over summer time thus making Cyprus a good place for winter swimmers as well.
During winter time you can find snow on the upper layers of Mount Olympus on the Troodos Mountains and at the nearby villages, while you can entertain yourself at the Ski Centre not far from the Troodos Plaza.
In the summer time you can visit our Cities by the Sea such as Larnaca, Limassol, Ayia Napa-Protaras and Paphos where you can relax on the sandy beaches and enjoy the sunshine.
